A Great Day for a Mow
A quiet, more eco-friendly lawnmower
Electric mowers are not only better for the environment, but free the owner from having to worry about changing oil, filling up the tank and getting the damn things started after a winter in storage. On the other hand, there’s one huge problem with such mowers: The annoying extension cord that has a habit of catching on tree trunks, gates and occasionally curling up under the mower and getting hacked away. A great solution for this is Neuton, a battery-powered mower from the Vergennes, Vt.-based company of the same name. The company claims the mower can handle up to 1/3 of an acre at a single charge.
So, it’s good for suburbanites with postage-stamp lawns, but not so good for, say, golf courses.
