The Playbook is designed to appeal to people looking to win. It's an exclusive publication distributed daily to patrons at Empire City at Yonkers Raceway, metropolitan New York's only casino. The digest-sized four-color monthly magazine is designed to captivate and entertain some 400,000 visitors to the Westchester County area.

Empire City at Yonkers Raceway opened in October of 2006 and since has more than doubled its audience. With some 5,500 video gaming machines spaced over two floors, Empire City is the destination point for a huge audience comprised of visitors from Eastern Long Island, Northern New Jersey, Westchester County, New York's five boroughs as well as parts of Connecticut.

Those attending Empire City feel like winners immediately upon being handed a copy of The Playbook. With a slew of great offers from area businesses, combined with Empire City's own offers, the book puts money in the hands of its audience.

The Playbook is unique in its approach to its audience. Each book includes an individual "Your Lucky Number" which provides the holder with a multitude of chances to win prizes such as vacations, automobiles and money to be used towards spending in the Empire City area.
